Hi, and welcome to JDC Ireland's season 2 week 4 report, Our weekly JDC grading was held as always in The Roadstone group sports club, Dublin on tuesday 26th of March 2019.

This week began with a very productive meeting with Brian Clarke director of Four Star Pizza in light of a possible sponsorship deal for the coming year with the future of Junior Darts in Ireland.
Which means our players, parents and coaching staff will be treated to top quality pizzas at all of our JDC grading sessions, with more to follow...All will be revealed in due course.
Here is the future of Darts in Ireland enjoying their Four Star Pizzas.

Next on the agenda was to welcome the winners from the recent ATP Irish Open & Jack McKenna weekend, a tournament held in The green Isle Hotel Dublin last weekend.
We are very proud of the fact that ALL the youth competitions were won by JDC Ireland members and Ben fitzpatrick's dad Glen won the senior doubles competition with his doubles partner David Peacock.
1. ATP Irish Open Youths Champion : Keane Barry.
2. ATP Irish Open Ladies Champion : Katie Sheldon.
3. Jack McKenna Youths Champion : Sean Cummins.
Keane Barry was also very unlucky not to hit the coveted 9 dart finish, missing out on double 12.
A massive well done to tournament promoter Mick O' Brien who ran another very successful weekend of darts, when I spoke to Mick he had this to say
" Quite simply unbelievable. These young players coming through are on the next level. It has been a pleasure over the last 5 years to watch these kids get better and better"

And on to the main event, last week I spoke of Killian Heffenan's form taking a slight dip, well rectify it he did and in the process scored JDC Ireland's highest score this week of 1291 just 159 points below his best ever score of 1450.

Star player award is shared between 2 players this week with each displaying a fantastic level of darts.
Ben Fitzpatrick scoring his best ever score of 424 & Scott Doyle equalling his best ever score of 545.
Other Results :
KEANE BARRY : 1212, if a slight dip in form yields you a score of 1212 it just goes to show you the level this young man has set for himself, i'm sure normal service will resume next week.
SEAN CUMMINS : 1184, steadily climbing but not yet at the level Sean has set for himself on previous weeks.
KATIE SHELDON : 839, Below par for our only lady dart thrower at JDC Ireland, especially coming off her spectacular score last week.
PEARSE MACKLE : 675, still not reaching the heights of his first week with us but he will get there this i'm sure.
JAMIE LEE CUMMINS : 666, the number of the beast for Jamie, not giving him any luck compared to previous weeks.
STEVEN CORONER : 630, A fantastic score from Steven, his best this season so far but still 206 points off his best ever, going in the right direction though.
ETHAN WILLS : 494, Again a great score from young Ethan, his best this season so far but like Steven a bit off his best, 152 points below.
SEAN McKEON will be doing his grading closer to the weekend and if last weeks score of 814 (His best ever) is anything to go by Sean will be rapidly climbing the ranks.

Our weekly tournament continued kindly sponsored by Chris Doyle of Solow General Building And Maintenance limited.
